So you want to go racing?

Well, you've come to the right place!

Here you will find the all the information you need to go from your armchair, to being strapped into a fully prepared racing car, ready for your first race!

But I can't be a racing driver!

Of course you can! All you need to do is acquire a National B racing licence. Now, I know that sounds scary, but stick with us, and we'll make it nice and painless for you.

Right, first things first, you need to go and visit the nice people over at the MSA, here, and purchase a "Go Racing" pack. It's ok, go ahead - we'll wait for you!

Once you have your "Go Racing" pack, you will need to apply to take a few tests.

• A medical - to make sure you're fit and well
• A theory test - to make sure you know what it all means
• A driving test - to make sure you're not going to crash

Now, I know this sounds like getting your driving licence all over again, but don't panic! They're really not as bad as they sound! All the information you will need to book these tests can be found nestled within the pages of your shiny new pack.

Ok, so what else will I need?

As a basic guide, you will need the following items;

These items are readily available from places such as Demon Tweeks, and GPR. Once you have these items, all you need is a car! You can either take care of this yourself, or check out our For Sale pages where you can buy a ready to race motor. Alternatively, MaX5 offer an "Arrive and Drive" option where you can hire a car on a race by race basis.

Once you've got that sorted, all that's left is to strap in, and put your foot down!
